LARGEST SHARK in the world ever found 40 foot, 7 ton GIANTThis extraordinary, Rhincodon Typus, specimen is thought quite likely to be the biggest shark in the world ever found and one of the very biggest animals too.Verbatim text from in-video annotationsPakistani fishermen from the port city of Karachi, found this very large fully-grown male whale shark -- estimated at 30 years of age -- unconscious and floating in the Arabian Sea, late January, 2012.The sickly, yet awesome creature was towed 150km to shore, but sadly died during this ordeal. On February 7th, five cranes were needed to lift the shark from the water.Whale sharks, the largest fish in the sea, have an imposing physical presence, but they are in fact gentle creatures.
